Stout-billed Cinclodes

Stout-billed Cinclodes

This fairly cute bird goes by the not very attractive name of stout-billed cinclodes. This photo was taken at an altitude of about 13,000 feet. There is also a bar-winged cinclodes in the same habitat that looks very similar, but has a thin, straight bill.
