Curve-billed Tinamou 2

Curve-billed Tinamou 2

We got incredibly lucky on this one. We were driving along when someone saw a bird flying and yelled. Although the bus driver didn't speak English, he had the good sense to stop. We all got out and spotted the bird on the ground in plain view only a few feet from the road at the edge of a steep drop-off. I think it was trying to hide by holding very still, but the strategy didn't work. It is not a great photo technically or artistically, but it may be a first as I have been unable to find any other photo of curve-billed tinamou on the Internet.
